In 1962, Heinrich Wernsing founded his company in Addrup, Lower Saxony.
In this region, which is characterised by agriculture, the gifts of nature are appreciated and there is a long tradition of well-informed, careful handling of food. Potato cultivation is particularly at home here – and the first products of the Wernsing family business also originated from this tuber.
In addition to know-how and fresh ideas, Heinrich Wernsing has also brought in his home grown family values, which have structured and shaped the company’s development. The values that the founder exemplified are being continued by his son, Stefan Wernsing, since he took over the company management from his father in 2000.
The transfer from one generation to the next was fluent and harmonious. This guarantees continuity and stability of the company management. And it is the ideal requirement for allowing the Wernsing Food Family to continue growing as a strong group of companies in the future.
